Opening a New Book

   I love starting a new book, of any kind.  Notebook, textbook, MacBook; but I especially love opening a new story book.  Love the feel of the pages, the introduction of the characters, the idea of something new.  The idea that I'm about to be taken on some new adventure.
   This is the idea I have adopted for my life, everyday is a new book, a new adventure of my own creation.  And I'm done with letting other people write my stories, because I am a writer.  I am a lover of words and ideas and adventures.

   So welcome to my story, my new book.  The spine is uncreased, the pages unturned, the story unread.
   It is full of frustration and sorrow, full of joy and hope.  But mostly, it's full of my words.

And that's what most important.
